Go on a head, get a hat

Hats have always been the most versatile accessories. We wear them in the winter to keep warm, or put them on in the summer to keep cool. Since they’re wearable throughout the year, I suggest you have a collection of hats to wear at your convenience.

So what hats should you stock up on for this summer? There’s plenty to choose from.

Let’s begin with the obvious and always classy wide-brim sun hats. These are always the “it” hat every summer because they keep the sun off your entire face, not just from your nose up like most hats tend to do.

Not only that, but they add to any outfit you have on. They’re a statement piece that tends to add instant elegance to whatever you’re wearing.

Another hat to add to your collection is any type of cap. Whether you’re into a baseball team, superhero, saying, or anything in between, you’re guaranteed to find it printed on a cap.

Caps help hold your hair down when the fly-aways can’t be tamed or when you want an extra bit of character splashed into your outfit.

Next, we have the knitted hats and beanies. Hello hipster paradise!

These types of hats make nearly any outfit have that “I just woke up and happened to put on this totally chill, yet perfectly planned outfit” look.

One hat we can’t forget to buy for this summer is the floppy hat. These are the hats that look a little like a sun hat, but with no structure.

They are usually worn by the bohemian crowd but can add a feminine touch, no matter your style.

One new hat style you should look into getting is masculine-inspired hats. Menswear is popping up everywhere in women’s fashion, and hats are no exception.

The reason women are showing the masculine hat trend: some love is mostly from the flattering silhouettes and tough-girl vibe you get when wearing one. Just imagine yourself wearing one of Pharrell William’s hats – minus about four inches.

Funky or fun, printed or solid, find a few hats that work for you and get ready to wear them into the summer and beyond.
